Hints, Cheats and Strategies

NinJump Rooftops is a new endless running game for the iPhone and iPad. It is the sequel to the original NinJump, which came out for the Android platform as well, so expect this game to show up there soon, too. Your goal in this game is to run as far as you can, while defeating as many enemies as possible, and collecting as much coins and Jade as you can. You can use the coins and Jade to then buy new costumes, power ups, and other goodies. Read on for some tips and tricks for NinJump Rooftops!

One of the easiest ways to go as far as you can, and to collect as many coins as you can, is to hit the same enemy three times in a row. If you hit the same enemy three times in a row, you will be able to ride them for a few hundred meters, destroying every enemy and collecting every coin that appears during the ride. The same is true for if you hit three ninja stars in a row.

Use power ups to maximize your coin collecting abilities during the run. Buy the multi coins power up and you can make red coins and blue coins appear throughout the run. Red coins are worth 2 each, while blue coins are worth three apiece. Also, upgrade the magnet in order to have magnets appear more often during the stage. When you grab the magnet, you automatically suck up any coin that you run by for about 100 m.

Each time that you go on a run, you have three different quests to complete on the current stage. Some of the quests require you to do something entirely within that run, while others can be passed between multiple stages at a time. Either way, each quest that you complete will earn you 250 coins as a bonus, making this one of the best ways to collect more coins.

Also, if you pick up a Nindrop token in the middle of the stage, you will be able to play the Nindrop game after you finish a stage, so pick up these tokens anytime that you see them, because these are an excellent way to earn more coins and Jade. If you drop into the wooden box, you will get a small reward; however, if you drop into the silver or gold box, you will earn a significantly larger reward.

Play with the timing of your jumps in order to go as far as you can during each run. You can double jump or single jump. You can hold the screen for a long time in order to do you a long, high jump, or you can tap the screen quickly in order to barely jump at all. The little jumps are especially useful for hitting enemies at the last second.

Tips

1. Cut Down Any Adversaries Three Times for Some Extra Coins
As your ninja keeps moving at a constant ninja rate, you’ll come across some worthy (and unworthy) adversaries on those rooftops. Getting all those coins as you can means you’ll have to attack any enemy three times in a row. Once you slash down an enemy, your ninja will be able to keep that enemy tied to them for a couple of extra meters. Holding onto an enemy while knocking down some other baddies will increase your coin intake in no time.

2. So What Powerup’s Are There?
- The first are your basic power-ups. The Superninja doubles your size, making it easier to collect coins in mid-air and grab higher ropes that you’d need to double-jump to reach normally. The second is the Shield. This protects you from one hit anywhere on the map, but use it wisely, like avoiding a ninja star while passing under a flaming panel. Our favorite, though, is the coin magnet. This automatically draws coins to your character as you run. This is especially useful if you have double coins activated.

3. Memorize Each Level’s Layout for Maximum Success
Unlike other endless runner games, the stage layout doesn’t change. If you have the memory of an elephant (or a scorned ninja), then try and take each stage’s layout to heart. Once you do that, you’ll come to expect those tricky jumps and better routes. The enemies may have different spawn points, but everything else will stay the same. Running those rooftops multiple times will eventually grant you the ability to know what’s coming before it comes.

4. Complete Those Bonus Quests to Earn Even More Coinage
Another way to cop a few more coins is by completing those special missions on each stage. Some of the missions you’ll run into may focus on a specific stage quest or or a goal that will span more than one stage. You’ll always collect 250 coins for each special mission you mark off your list, so go ahead and knock out those extra missions.

5. How Do I Get Into Those Bonus Stages?
The bonus stages come after you complete a stage and collect a good amount of tokens. When you enter these bonus stages, you’ll have to drop those tokens onto an obstacle course that Peggle players will instantly relate to. There’s a good amount of cool collectibles and powerup’s at the bottom of those bonus stages, so it pays to pick up as many tokens as you can.

6. Equip The Multi-Coin Powerup to Make Multicolored Coins Pop Up
One powerup that you should certainly attach to your ninja is the multi-coin powerup. With this ability, red and blue coins will start to litter the rooftops you’re running through. These coins will make your purse way more fatter, since red coins equal 2 coins in value. Blue coins equal three coins. Remember that when you spot them.

7. What Boosts Should You Purchase?
Basically, boosts are not very useful early on until you are really good with the game, otherwise you will just waste coins and not get your investment back. Probably the free revive is the best option for you, even though it’s not that free since it costs 750 coins. However, if you’re planning on going for a high score and you are low on jades for a revive, that’s the boost to start the game with.

8. Pick Up Those Tokens As Much As You Can
If you pick up a Nindrop token in the middle of the stage, you will be able to play the Nindrop game after you finish a stage, so pick up these tokens anytime that you see them, because these are an excellent way to earn more coins and Jade. If you drop into the wooden box, you will get a small reward; however, if you drop into the silver or gold box, you will earn a significantly larger reward.

9. Time Your Jumps Accordingly; Take Advantage of Those Single/Double Jumps

10. Go for combos
You get a nice boost if you destroy three similar obstacles in a row (squirrels, birds or ninjas) and it should be your top priority to do so: simply continue to attack the ones that you already have until you get to three and just jump over the other ones. Easiest to get is the Squirrel, but any of them has the same effect: gives you an invincible ride forward.

11. What upgrades to buy
Upgrades are extremely important in Ninjump Rooftops and some can be very helpful during your run. Shield is clearly the most important of them all because it basically gives you an extra life for free. Therefore, make sure to save your coins and take it to at least level 2 early on and always make shield the first upgrade you improve. Also, Super Size is a good upgrade since it’s similar to the shield, but it wears off after a time which makes it less useful. These two should be your priorities when it comes to upgrading, though.

13. Try to learn the routes
A nice thing about the game is that the levels won’t change with each play. And even though enemies might spawn in different locations, what matters: the rooftops, will always come in the same order so it would be best to try and remember the one that works best for you, or at least explore a bit first to find the best option for future runs

14. Boosts to purchase

15. Master the double jumps
Or triple jumps, when you have that power-up. Basically, the art of double jumping is the only one that you need (except for quick reflexes) to succeed at this game. Ninjump Rooftops is a lot easier when you can double jump correctly and when you’re supposed to (like when it comes to collecting coins or avoiding obstacles) and that should be the first thing you’ll want to get good at.

And that would be it in terms of Ninjump Rooftops tips and tricks. There’s really not much to say and the entire game is a skill based one, but I am sure that these few tips will make your game even better.

16. How does gameplay work in NinJump Rooftops?
It's simple. Tap anywhere on the screen to make the ninja run and swing his sword - it's all done in one motion. You'll want to use this to avoid falling off rooftops and strike enemies within range.

Keep in mind that you can double jump as well, tapping the screen again while in mid-air to do it. This will help you make larger gaps in-between rooftops.

17. How do the power-ups work in NinJump Rooftops?
The first are your basic power-ups. The Superninja doubles your size, making it easier to collect coins in mid-air and grab higher ropes that you'd need to double-jump to reach normally.

The second is the Shield. This protects you from one hit anywhere on the map, but use it wisely, like avoiding a ninja star while passing under a flaming panel.

Our favorite, though, is the coin magnet. This automatically draws coins to your character as you run. This is especially useful if you have double coins activated.

18. How do the advanced power-ups work in NinJump Rooftops?
You have a three-slot system that appears on the lower corner of the screen. You fill this depending on the enemies you strike in the stage, whether it's a ninja, squirrel, bird or panda. Yes, pandas are surprisingly lethal.

Once you get three in a row - you may have to avoid some enemies to keep this streak going - you'll activate an advanced power-up to push you further in the stage, like a large flying squirrel, a huge bird that flies out of control or our favorite, a Godzilla-like panda that smashes through the village.

It'll take some practice, but getting three in a row will take you a long way through a stage. Good luck.

19. What can I buy in NinJump Rooftops?
There are a number of collectibles you can unlock. The upgrades enable power-ups to happen more often, or last longer in a game. For instance, extending a shield's time for two hits instead of one, or making things like the Superninja and Coin Magnet appear more often.

You can also unlock new characters, including a female ninja, a pirate ninja and a Dragon Knight costume. They all play about the same, but cosmetically, they make a world of difference.

In-game currency works just fine for unlocking these, but if you're impatient, you can buy more coins or jade coins (which are higher in value) for anywhere from $0.99 to $24.99. It's a fair system, so use it only when you deem it necessary.

20. What do I use jade coins for in NinJump Rooftops?
Regular coins unlock most of the content, but you'll want to save jade coins for certain things, like a quick revive, which will cost you one coin, or some of the fancier costumes in the game. You'll start with 10, so you won't feel overwhelmed.

21. How does the NinDrop bonus stage work in NinJump Rooftops?
Think Peggle, but with ninja flavor. Throughout NinJump Rooftops, you'll find these cool NinDrop tokens to collect. Once your run is over, you'll drop them on an obstacle-filled stage, Plinko style, to earn a prize in one of the bins below. Try and collect as many as you can - you might even earn a free revive on the house.

22. What kind of replay value does NinJump Rooftops have?
Plenty. Each stage has its own challenges to complete, like getting far enough in a run without hitting enemies and scoring multiple power-ups in a row. Doing so will net you extra coins, so try to get as many as you can.

If you prefer to get competitive, you can also login via social media and compete with your friend's high scores as well. Can you beat our time?

23. Run and jump while collecting coins along the way
You will just run and jump on the roof while defeating any incoming enemies in which you will also be assigned to collect as much coins and Jade as well. Once collecting those currencies, you can purchase new costumes, power ups, and other items. Besides, you can also buy more power-ups to help you run further and you will have quick response to collect as many coins as you can.

Moreover, you can also hit the same enemy three times in a row like beating three ninja stars in a row. Therefore, you will be able to ride them for a few hundred meters, destroying every enemy and collecting every coin that appears during the ride. By using those power ups, you can maximize your coin collecting abilities during the run. So just buy the multi coins power up to make red coins and a blue coins along the run.

Red coins are worth to appease. And blue ones are worth three piece. Furthermore, upgrading magnet power up will come to have magnets appear more often during the stage. In line with this, grabbing the magnet will make you automatically attract any coin that you run by for about 100 m.

24. Complete some quests to collect more coins
Every time on your run, you will have three different quests to complete on the current stage. In any stage, each quest that you complete will earn you 250 coins as a bonus as it is the way of making more coins throughout the game. On the other side, if you pick up a Nindrop token in the middle of the stage, you can play the Nindrop game after you finish a stage. Just pick up these tokens when seeing them, as these tokens will lead you to collect more coins and Jade as well.

If you drop into the wooden box, a small reward will be given to you as bonus. However, if you drop into the silver or gold box, you will get larger reward.

25. Try to defeat any enemy to collect more power ups
All you have to do in this game is simply tap to jump between rooftops, and you also have a double jump ability where you will also play with the timing of your jumps in order to go as far as you can during each run. According to this, you can hold the screen for a long time to make a high jump, or you can tap the screen quickly in order to barely jump at all as it will also be useful for hitting enemies.

When jumping across the rooftop, you will meet a unique combat system where you will jump on enemies to destroy them in that these enemies like shuriken-throwing ninjas, squirrels, blue birds, bees, and giant panda warriors that every of them will give you a unique animation for the boost. Thus try to trump each one by timing your jumps to defeat three of the same enemy type in a row with their respective oncoming attacks then get a special power move related to that specific enemy.

If you destroy three of the same type of enemies in a row, you will get a special power-up to charge ahead 500 feet. In addition, defeating three blue birds in a row, a giant blue bird will sweep in from behind you and lift your ninja up for a few meters. Doing so will automatically bypassing all jumps and destroying all enemies in your path and you can collect coins and jade at one time as well.
