Monster Strike Guide

1. Add more friends. This is the first thing that you can do in game which will not requires you anything in game. This is just a test of patience of how many friends you can add to your list. Since upon taking an online players’ monster or your friends into battle, you are able to earn friend points or FP. These points are what you need to spend before you can use the Hatcher. So if you really want to have a passive access on hatcher, you really need to play with many friends so you can earn lots of friend points. Just pick friends having stronger line up of monsters that you can use so you are able to take advantage with their monsters in game. In adding more friends, you can use this post by dropping your request message to the comment form below. You can also consider visiting this app official iTunes page or Google Play page and drop your request there in form of review.

2. Master your strike shots. As what we mentioned above the bump combos, every monster has a strike shot that can be used upon successfully making a number of turns in battle. You will find this special shot as one-turn ability that is capable of dealing cool effects for your monster such as boosting their damage and speed. After activating this special skill, you need to wait for more turns again to recharge and for your to cast it again in game. Actually you are able to see how many turns left until you can cast the strike shot through the number located at the top left corner of your monster’s information box at the bottom. For your advantage, it is better to master what your monster’s strike shots and use it to the fullest.

3. Take advantage with Bump combos. To explain it further, Bump combos is happen when you launch a monster and collides with any of your other monster. The monster who is bumped into will do the bump combo which comes in different form like shooting out laser beams or firing a homing projectiles and lot more. Not only with some special attribute but also this can do massive damage against your opponent so don’t forget to plan your shots accurately so you are able to do bump combos. You can check your monsters bump combos by checking their information tab.

4. Know the elemental property flow. You are not only playing like a typical sling-based game since Monster Strike observes elemental property. For every monster, there is an elemental type and when it comes to elemental system, this works the same as rock-paper-scissor system. In this game you have light, dark, fire, grass and water and as for the flow, fire is strong against grass, water is strong against fire and grass is strong against water while light and dark is strong against one another. Just memorize it so you can take advantage from elemental flow and build a good team that can handle almost all kinds of elements.

5. Strategize your monster shot types.
Aside from element, you will see that every monster comes in different shot types. There is a bounce-type monsters that will bounce off anything they come into contact with. This is effective for making bank shots to chain off with other monster so you are able to activate bump combos. Aside from bounce-based shot, there is also a pierce-type monsters which happen not able to fire bouncing effect but instead penetrate straight forward through other object. This is effective for hitting the weak points on boss monsters.

6. Leveling up your monsters quickly. The effective way of boosting the level is to use the Expie Forecast. Actually you may have one of these monsters already but there’s a family of monster named the Expies and they are look like turtles. These creatures are much like the Morlings wherein they are not suited for battle instead for fusing. If you manage to fuse one of these guys to your primary picked monster, that monster will acquire lots of experience points. To check it, you can go on main menu and go to the more section and there you are able to see the Expie Forecast. This will tell you where and where you can find a group of Expies to acquire.

7. Use Morlings for stat boosts.
We already mentioned it, and unlike with Expies that you can use boost your experience points, Morlings that you can use to boost your stat. They come on a very low stats and you will think that they are really useless in game. Actually when it comes in battle, they are helpless but for stat boost, you can fuse them to your primary picked monsters to boost its stats.
Monster Strike Tips

1. Fuse Morlings to Each Other!
- When fused with another monster, Morlings will increase that monster’s Stats beyond the monster’s MAX stats. That’s a no-brainer if you’ve played the tutorial.
-The real trick is to fuse Morlings with each other! Every time you fuse a Morling with another Morling, you’ll have a chance at a Mega Fusion bonus, which will increase the overall Stat boost that the fused Morling will bestow on one of your team’s monsters. Plus, it clears up space in your Monster Box so you don’t have to spend precious Orbs expanding it!

2. Boost Your Early-game Luck
- Luck is super important for getting better monster eggs and Catalyst drops. You can boost your early-game Luck by farming Red Smydras and fusing them to each other to boost their Luck rating (indicated by the clover icon).
- Farming Red Smydras is easy: Just choose the “Mt. Hotfoot” Normal Quest group and take on the “Volcanic Drake” quest a bunch of times. The Red Smydra drop rate here is high, and it’s unlocked pretty early in the game!

3. Master the Speed Clear
- The Speed Clear bonus – awarded for defeating a Quest’s boss within a set number of turns – greatly increases your chances of a rare egg or Catalyst drop.

- Snagging the Speed Clear is pretty easy in early Normal Quest levels, but to get the really good stuff, you’ll need to take on difficult Extreme and Impossible Event Quests.

- The best way to guarantee a Speed Clear is to take monsters with high-powered Strike Shots and the correct Element into the battle. If the boss is a Wood Element, take Fire Element monsters into the Quest.

4. You Should be Playing on Weekends

Timed weekend-only Quests offer some of the best loot out there. Drop rates on super rare items like the Divine Sharl Catalyst are higher on weekends, plus the daily Expie quests offer more powerful Expies on the weekend.

5. Evolve, Then Ascend
It’s not immediately obvious, but it’s possible to Ascend a monster you’ve already Evolved (it’s not just one or the other). Gathering the Catalyst Materials and monsters necessary to Ascend a monster of your choice usually takes time, so go ahead and Evolve them while you wait.

6. Use Orbs Sparingly
- Orbs are Monster Strike’s player currency and are used for replenishing Stamina, continuing after a defeat and hatching randomized monster eggs at the Hatcher. While the game’s developer is pretty generous about giving away free Orbs for all kinds of reasons, they’re still a precious resource.
- Some of the most rare and powerful monsters can only be attained through the Hatcher, so you may want to consider saving up all your Orbs exclusively for Hatcher spins.
- Sure, you could use an Orb to replenish your Stamina and have another go at that tough boss, but you probably shouldn’t,

7. Playing with Friends Gives Huge Rewards
-You’ll never need to think about using an Orb to replenish your Stamina when you play multiplayer Co-op with friends, because only the hosting player’s Stamina gets used. Take turns hosting and you can pretty much play indefinitely.
- Co-op players also share Luck bonuses, which means up to 8 individual Luck bonus drops on any given Quest!

8. Monster Strike for Dummies: Touch ANYWHERE on the Screen to Fling a Monster!
- Sure, this one’s pretty basic (and it’s mentioned in the tutorial, but honestly, who reads those?), but it’s important to know: You DON’T have to tap and hold on your monster to initiate the “Pull and Fling” control. You can touch anywhere on the screen and start pulling.

- So, even if your monster is trapped in a corner, you can still pull at full strength by starting the pull from the center of the screen

9. Create a Facebook or LINE group of Monster Strike-ing Friends
- Monster Strike’s standard Co-op uses your phone’s GPS to find other players near you, so you’ll need to be in a big city or playing in the same room with friends to get the most out of it (if you live in the suburbs, you’re pretty much boned).

- But, you can play with friends over ANY distance by sending a Facebook or LINE invite through the game’s “Invite Friends” Co-op Quest option. You could even start a dedicated group chat so you and your friends can send invites to each other any time.

10. Finish the “Normal Quest” Campaign
- It’s obvious the moment you first launch Monster Strike that the real fun of the game is in the rotating Event Quests where you can get your hands on cool new monsters and valuable Catalyst items.

- But there is one major reason to see the Normal Quest campaign through to the end: The last handful of Normal Quests give huge EXP bonuses (far more than Event Quests) to your player profile, which means you can farm them to rank up. Ranking up increases your Stamina and Friend List capacity, which lets you play longer and with a larger array of Helper monsters.

11. How to fuse, evolve and ascend your monsters
Monster Strike is a pinball-RPG that has even Puzzle and Dragons quaking in its boots in Japan, and it’s just released in English form in the USA and is becoming a huge hit as well. True to its card-battling roots, there are countless ways to power up your cards, including fusing, ascending and evolving them. but you’re gonna need catalysts such as stoans, sharls, and all sorts of other goods to make it happen. Read on to find out how to do just that!

Fusion is the easiest of these three things that you will do. In order to do fusion, first you pick a beneficiary monster, then you pick up to five monsters to sacrifice in order to give experience points to that first monster. You’ll lose all of these monsters so make sure that these are something you don’t want first.

To gain the most experience in one shot, use the expies that you earn from all throughout various battles, and from the expie event quests especially. Need to know when the next expie event quest is? Go to the “more” screen, hit the expie forecast button to see. The rarer the star rating of the expie, the more experience points they will give you.

To evolve your character, first it needs to be at the maximum level. Then you are going to need a specific mix of stoans and sharls in order to evolve them. This consists of maxstoans, stoans, ministoans, and then element-specific stoans and sharls. The rarer monsters are going to need more advanced mixes and variations, as well as more stoans and sharls in total.

Ascent will not be available to all of your monsters, but it will change them into their “final form”, sort of. To figure out which monsters can ascend, go to the main menu and pick a monster, then tap “evolve/ascend” and select the monster. When the evolve requirements pop up, try to scroll to the right. If the ascend requirements then pop up, that means that you can then ascend them.

Ascending will require a specific mix of material monsters, stoans and sharls, which, of course, is different depending on which monster it is. If you have all of the monsters and catalysts you will be able to ascend, regardless of whether your monster is at the maximum experience level or not.

12. Chain your monsters for Bump Combos!
When you launch a monster, if it collides with any of your other monsters a Bump Combo will activate! The monster who is bumped into will perform their bump combo, which ranges from shooting out laser beams to firing off homing projectiles! These do awesome damage, so try to plan your shots accurately. You can see what kind of bump combos your monsters have by checking their info.

13. Utilize your monster shot types!

Monsters come in different shot types. Bounce-type monsters will, as stated, bounce off anything they come into contact with. This is useful for making bank shots to chain off of your other monsters, activating bump combos! Pierce-type monsters will not bounce, however, and instead go straight through other objects, continuing along their original path. These monsters are especially useful for hitting the weak points on boss monsters.

14. Learn your strike shots!
In addition to your bump combos, each monster has a strike shot that can be used after a certain number of turns has passed during a battle. These shots are one-turn use special abilities that cause all sorts of cool effects for your monster, such as increased velocity and more damage. Once you use it though, it must be recharged again before it can be reused. You can see how many turns left until the strike shot can be used by looking at the number in the top left corner of the monster’s info box at the bottom. Learn what your monsters’ strike shots are and take full advantage of them!

15. Fuse the Morlings for stat boosts!
There’s a certain family of monsters called the Morlings. They have very low stats, so they’re not really suited for battle. Instead, they can be fused to grant your other monsters stat boosts. They don’t give much experience, but the stat boosts are great!
- Mormites, the fire-type ones, grant an attack boost.
- Morquiks, the water-types, grant a speed boost.
- Morlyfes, the grass-types, grant HP boosts.

16. Need to level up your monsters quickly? Watch the Expie Forecast!
You may have one of these monsters already, but there’s a family of monsters called the Expies, and they look like turtles. These monsters are much like the Morlings, where they’re not suited for battle but instead for fusing. If you fuse one of these guys with another monster, that monster will receive a ton of experience! On the main menu, if you go into the More section, you can see the Expie Forecast. This will tell you where and when you can find a surge of Expies!

17. Be aware of the elemental chart!

You’ve probably heard this one before! Each monster has an elemental type, and there’s a rock-paper-scissors tree. Fire beats grass, grass beats water, and water beats fire. Light and dark beat each other out. Keep this tree in mind and try to build a balanced team so you’re ready to take on any kind of monsters!

18. Add some friends!
When you take an online player’s monster with you into battle, you’ll earn FP, or friend points. These points can be used for the Hatcher, so try to play with as many people as you can! It also helps if you send them a friend request after the level is over.

19. How to get rare (three, four, five and six star) monsters
Monster Strike is an RPG with a battle system that brings back memories of pinball machines back in the day. There’s a definite card collecting element to this game, and like any good card battler, you have extremely rare cards that can be collected here. Three, four, five, and six cards are the rare ones, and are the ones with the best battle statistics, but are generally also the toughest to find. Read on for some tips on how to find more rare monsters in Monster Strike!

The main way to earn more rare monsters is to go to the hatcher and do either the solo hatcher or the golden 10 shot. The solo ones requires five orbs, while the 10-shot hatcher requires 50 orbs (which are the premium currency of the game). You’re guaranteed at least a three-star hatch with these two, with a smaller chance of a rare monster (but still a chance) coming from the friend hatcher.

Take the luckiest monsters possible with you. The higher the luck of the three monsters in your current battle party, the higher your chances of finding rare drops. Even without any lucky monsters it is still possible to find rare drops, but they will be far less common without luck. To increase monster luck, fuse it with an identical monster or with similar monsters (same monster family, different ascension or evolution level).

Play in Co-op as often as possible, especially in the quests that have been specifically designed for it. These will give you better (rarer) monsters than usual. If you have no friends in your area who play the game, start trying to find a way to spoof your location on the Location Services and spoof it to some large city, or Watch out for special promotions – promo codes are often given out during these promotions. Go to the “other” screen and enter a promo code, and you will get a bonus for it – which can sometimes consist of a rare monster!

When you are in the quest menu, tab over to the event quests and play the hardest ones that you can beat. The harder they are, the better the chances of getting a rare monster as a drop, generally, unless they are specific item quests (catalysts, experience, gold etc).
